The Great Mosque of Kano is a mosque in the city of Kano, the capital of Kano State and the second most populous city in Nigeria.
The original mosque was built in the 15th century, then moved to a new location in 1582. It was rebuilt in the mid-19th century by Abdullahi dan Dabo. The mosque was later destroyed in the 1950s and subsequently rebuilt.
